DTS is seeking to fill two key senior leadership positions:
  • IT Service Manager, Application Management Services (2 positions)

Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a technology and/or business discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in one or more of the following IT business management functions: Business Systems Analysis, Application Development, IT Architecture, Infrastructure and Operations, Project Delivery Management, Business Relationship Management, or related functions.
  • Experience supervising staff including coaching, mentoring and managing performance.
  • Experience adapting to a changing work environment including tasks, responsibilities and/or people.
  • Experience designing and reporting against performance measures.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry and their potential impact on government operations and service delivery
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience building and fostering collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to different levels of the organization.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Strong business and political acumen demonstrated through experience providing strategic advice to senior leaders to influence decisions.
Desired:
  • Experience in vendor and contract management.
  • Experience in financial management including business case development, cost estimation, and budget management.

Duties:
The IT Service Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and operating a specific set of IT services that are clearly defined. This includes leading teams, coaching and mentoring employees, and managing staff performance to ensure their professional development and growth. The manager will look for innovative ways to improve service delivery, including defining and meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for each IT service. They will also prioritize the development of employee skills and continuous improvement opportunities.

The IT Service Manager will be accountable for managing vendors effectively to ensure they meet their contractual obligations and deliver the expected outcomes. They will also demonstrate excellence in reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) for their respective IT services to ensure transparency and accountability. Furthermore, the IT Service Manager will provide customer relationship management functions to enhance customer satisfaction, including issue resolution and managing customer feedback. They will prioritize customer
satisfaction by measuring it consistently and taking appropriate measures to improve it continuously.  The IT Service Manager is a change advocate and experienced in a fast-paced environment.  The Manager is flexible and can motivate others to grow and everchanging environment.
