IT Database Analyst (DBA) Summer Student

• Assist with clearing, fine tuning and creating new monitoring alerts for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Assist in updating database policies and documentation.
• Assist in performing account and privilege management.
• Assist with new database builds, upgrades and patching.
• Assist Database Analysts (DBAs) with researching database bugs and errors.
• Assist with testing new scripts and processes.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a diploma or degree program in Computer Science or a related discipline. 
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to readily absorb and comprehend new information from formal and informal learning experiences.
• Success in this position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, strong research and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2025.
• A security clearance will be conducted.
• If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).
